This place is so special, our experience was memorable and positive. The wait staff were great, professional and I just love the clothes they wore lol Okay to the food! Unique and delicious flavors- the stuffed pancakes were our absolute favorite- Ive never had anything like it, it was on point. And the duck was also a favorite! The short rib wasnt so short lol but it was good. I look forward to going back and trying different dishes. Side note: we had a two year old with us and the servers were very patient with him. They got us a high chair and just let him make a mess like kids do. And that's worth to mention.

Khmai in Rogers Park has truly impressed. The food is absolutely outstanding, bursting with flavor and clearly made with care. The ambiance is lovely, creating a comfortable and enjoyable dining experience, and the service was impeccable. What's more, the generous portions are offered at a very reasonable price. I genuinely couldn't find a single fault. This is a must-try for anyone seeking authentic and delicious Cambodian cuisine in Chicago, and I don't make such strong recommendations lightly!!!

One of the best restaurants in the area - the food and drinks were really special. I would go back to this restaurant every day of my life just to have the beef skewers and the mango salad. Just to die for. I also enjoyed the braised beef rib (pictured) which given the small enough plates we had prior was a little more food than I could it, but made for a tasty leftover meal the next day. i really cant say enough good things about this place. the food was finger licking delicious, the drinks were unique, refreshing, and satisfying, and the service was just fabulous! please eat here - it is a bit pricey (especially for Rogers Park), but worth every penny!

I accidentally made our reservation for 3 instead of 5 so we ended up having to sit at the bar because they were all booked up, but it was honestly still worth it. They made sure to sit us at the corner so our party of 5 could still easily talk and share our food together. I wish i was able to get more pictures of the food but it was so good that i kept forgetting. Very unique experience with a twist on authentic Cambodian food and strong flavors. The menu is more seafood based but they have many options available as far as other meats like chicken and steak plus a few vegetarian options as well. We shared a few small plates and a few other dishes plus the main courses all together. Our waiter and bartender helped us pick what dishes to order and what would be best for sharing and of course what he recommended based on some of our preferences. The drinks we ordered were from the new menu which were also very fun and on the sweeter side - which I enjoyed. We sat on the causal dining side but next time we plan on sitting on the formal side which I believe has a slightly different menu.

We had the pleasure of experiencing one of Khmai’s Khmai Tales: Dinner and Show. This experience gave us an amazing seven course meal with a show that showcased Cambodia’s past, present, and future in both the cuisine and stories. Each dish was skillfully prepared and so delicious!!! The presentarion was impeccable and packed with alllll the freshness of Asian flavors and umami. We also thoroughly enjoyed the storytelling. I even had tears come to my eyes when they shared the story about her Mai and how she taught Chef Mona her dishes and how it brought her back to life. I highly recommend Khmai if you want to enjoy amazing food and learn more about the beautiful Khmer culture and heritage. Extremely well done, Chef Mona and team!

Just tried the fine dining experience this evening with a friend! The whole experience was out of this world- the whole staff was kind and welcoming as well as attentive, the atmosphere was very beautiful, and I would put the curry on par (if not above!) my own mother’s cooking! Charlie (our primary server) - thank you, from the bottom of my heart for such a lovely evening!

One of my favorite restaurants in Chicago! They serve excellent food and even better cocktails. Our favorite dish here is the Nyorm Svai—absolutely delicious! The servers are always friendly and helpful, which makes the experience even better. It’s also a perfect spot to celebrate special occasions.

It was a great experience to dinning in Khmai restaurant. I know this restaurant long time ago from Chicago restaurant week. First time to this new location. Try it if you haven’t! Brunch menu is great. It has various options. Very nice service. Love to come back!
